Swedish House Mafia<\/a>\u00a0debuted their new\u00a0Lykke Li<\/a>\u00a0collaboration \u2018Happiness Is So Sad\u2019 during their\u00a0Ushua\u00efa\u00a0Ibiza residency \u2013 watch footage below.<\/p>\n The Swedish electronic trio \u2013\u00a0Axwell<\/a>,\u00a0Steve Angello<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Sebastian Ingrosso<\/a> \u2013 premiered the new track at the White Isle on June 28, as part of their weekly Ibiza residency, and later confirmed that it would be released on July 31.<\/p>\n The track features additional production from\u00a0Max Martin<\/a>\u00a0and Oscar Holter, with Ingrosso describing the collaboration as a \u201cSwedish Avengers crew\u201d.<\/p>\n Speaking to\u00a0Vogue Scandinavia<\/i><\/a>\u00a0about working with\u00a0his compatriot\u00a0Li, Ingrosso called her \u201cone of the coolest artists ever\u201d,\u00a0adding that \u201cher voice is so unique\u201d.<\/p>\n Watch footage of Swedish House Mafia debuting \u2018Happiness Is So Sad\u2019 below:<\/p>\n Li added:\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s always nerve-racking working with new people and writing something on the spot, but Sebastian completely put me at ease. His energy is insanely positive and infectious.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we found the riff we were all screaming with our hands in the air. Those melodies that pierce your soul, that make you want to cry and dance at the same time. We Swedes understand darkness but we love the light more than anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer\u00a0has long had ties to the dance world, most notably through The Magician\u2019s huge remix of \u2018I Follow Rivers\u2019.\u00a0The original song appeared on her 2011 album \u2018Wounded Rhymes<\/a>\u2019, while the remix went on to become a European club staple and reached Number One in countries including Germany, Belgium and Italy. She later teamed up with Mark Ronson<\/a>\u00a0on the 2019 single \u2018Late Night Feelings<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n Li\u2019s sixth album \u2018The Afterparty\u2019\u00a0arrived in May, and before its release,\u00a0she\u00a0suggested that the record could be her last, saying: \u201cIt was a motherfucker to make.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
