New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani<\/a> still has a lot of love for 50 Cent\u2019<\/a>s classic debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin\u2019<\/a> despite their \u201cone-sided beef.\u201d<\/p>\n In a new interview with Jillian Superstar for Complex\u2019s 360 series, Mamdani, who has found himself the target of Fif-delivered criticism both before and after taking office, was asked to name his \u201cdream guest\u201d picks for a hypothetical dinner party. At a recent commencement speech, for example, he quoted lyrics from breakout hit \u201cIn da Club,\u201d namely a key line that was later repurposed on the artist formerly known as Kanye West\u2019<\/a>s \u201cGood Life.\u201d<\/p>\n The core of Mamdani and 50\u2019s disagreement centers on his desire to institute fairer taxes that place the burden on the rich, not everyday people. As Mamdani sees it, this disagreement will likely persist between them, though it won\u2019t hinder his appreciation for the music, including \u201cMany Men,\u201d another Get Rich classic.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a one-sided beef, yeah,\u201d he told Complex. \u201cI think we\u2019re always gonna have a disagreement on that tax policy. I wanna increase tax on the wealthiest, he does not want that to happen.
