Global rock superstars GREEN DAY<\/b> \u2014 Billie Joe Armstrong<\/b>, Mike Dirnt<\/b> and Tr\u00e9 Cool<\/b> \u2014 have announced the “Nimrods”<\/b> original soundtrack, arriving July 31 and available now for pre-order.<\/p>\n

The 30-track album will be released on CD, cassette, digital platforms and several vinyl variants, featuring 22 fan-favorite, career-spanning GREEN DAY<\/b> songs alongside soundtrack exclusives including the new GREEN DAY<\/b> track “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.”<\/b> and four previously unreleased live recordings from the band’s performance at the Palladium in Los Angeles, as featured in the film. The soundtrack also includes songs from THE PARADOX<\/b>, ULTRA Q<\/b> and Mckenna Grace<\/b>, as well as four tracks by ANALOG DOGS<\/b>, the fictitious band at the center of “Nimrods”<\/b>.<\/p>\n

To herald the announcement, the band has shared the new track and video “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.”<\/b>, available now on all DSPs and GREEN DAY<\/b>‘s official YouTube<\/b> channel.<\/p>\n

The “Nimrods”<\/b> film will rock theaters on August 14. Developed by writer\/director Lee Kirk<\/b> with GREEN DAY<\/b> and produced by Tim Perell<\/b>, “Nimrods”<\/b> is a coming-of-age story about three friends (Mason Thames<\/b>, Kylr Coffman<\/b> and Ryan Foust<\/b>) who journey to Los Angeles, mistakenly believing that their band is opening for GREEN DAY<\/b> on New Year’s Eve. Their roadtrip is a rowdy and mischievous jaunt across the country filled with adventures, based on the exploits of GREEN DAY<\/b> and their years of living in a tour van. The star-studded cast includes Mason Thames<\/b>, Kylr Coffman<\/b>, Ryan Foust<\/b>, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio<\/b>, Keen Ruffalo<\/b>, Jenna Fischer<\/b>, Angela Kinsey<\/b>, Mckenna Grace<\/b>, Fred Armisen<\/b>, Bobby Lee<\/b> and Sean Gunn<\/b>. Credits include producers Tim Perell<\/b> for Process<\/b>, Billie Joe Armstrong<\/b>, Mike Dirnt<\/b> and Tr\u00e9 Cool<\/b>.
