After sharing a vulnerable post addressing being called an \u201cindustry plant,\u201d Yungblud<\/a> has received a wave of support from fellow musicians and industry peers, including from SZA<\/a>, Anthrax\u2019s Scott Ian, Lauren Jauregui<\/a>, and Alyssa Milano.<\/p>\n Last week, Yungblud closed out the third year of his festival Bludfest in Czechia and was hit with a wave of emotion. Addressing a crowd of 20,000, the English punk rocker held back tears as he admitted to feeling \u201cdisconnected from everything\u201d but upon staring out at the sea of faces before him, he felt \u201csafe from the outside world\u201d and reminded that he belonged somewhere.<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n He shared a clip of the moment to Instagram on Wednesday, writing about his hesitancy to be transparent about the reality of being an artist \u201cin this day and age\u201d and his struggles in trying to find his footing.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the past 10 years I\u2019ve been on a million different journeys tried a million different sounds trying to figure out who I am or what I can mean to the world everyday whilst the world shouts back,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThe amount of hate and disbelief around me from strangers on the Internet or bitter musicians really weighs on my heart as all I\u2019ve been trying to do for the past 10 years is spread love, build something I believe in and unify people in a safe space.\u201d<\/p>\n Yungblud also referred to a recent article by Blunt Magazine<\/a> that pushed back on the online discourse that called him an \u201cindustry plant,\u201d writing that he felt validated by the post.<\/p>\n In his comment section, Yungblud received support from thousands of fans and industry peers.<\/p>\n \u201cI stood side stage at BTTB and watched you breathe rarified air the way you elevated Changes,\u201d Anthrax co-founder and guitarist Scott Ian wrote. \u201cYou\u2019ve earned it all Dom. Cheers brother.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cRooting for you,\u201d SZA commented. Lauren Jauregui added, \u201cI feel u.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNo one gets out of this life unscathed,\u201d Milano said. \u201cI appreciate you allowing us into your heart. I think this vulnerability will make a difference in people\u2019s lives. Rooting and praying for you.
