Green Day have released a new song, I’m Never Gonna R.I.P..<\/p>\n
Serving up ’50s rock’n’roll energy, the punk track will appear on the soundtrack for the coming-of-age comedy film, NIMRODS, which follows three friends in a garage band who hit the road after believing they’re opening for Green Day at a New Year’s Eve show in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
Co-produced by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt\u00a0and Tr\u00e9 Cool, the film is\u00a0set to arrive in US cinemas on August 14, through a UK release date has yet to be announced. Check out the trailer below.<\/p>\n
The soundtrack will be released on July 31 and\u00a0features 30 mostly Green Day recordings, along with songs by The Paradox, Ultra Q, Mckenna Grace, who also stars in the film, and Analog Dogs, the fictional band the film is about.<\/p>\n
I’m Never Gonna R.I.P. marks Green Day’s first new release since their most recent studio album, 2024’s ‘Saviors’ and its 2025 deluxe edition, ‘Saviors (\u00e9dition de luxe)’.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile,\u00a0Armstrong’s side project, Pinhead Gunpowder<\/a>, are set to tour North America this fall. Tickets are on sale now.<\/p>\n
