Big Brother <\/em><\/a>season 28<\/a> is right around the corner, and most of the Houseguests<\/a> competing for the whopping $750,000 prize pot were revealed on Tuesday, July 7. While all the fresh faces in the franchise were introduced during a YouTube livestream, one of those unexpected twists that longtime host Julie Chen Moonves teased a while back was unveiled hours later: Survivor 50 <\/em>alum Rick Devens is officially joining BB28!<\/p>\n According to an exclusive report from Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a>, the Survivor <\/em>fan-favorite isn’t the only tribe member making his way to the BB house. While the identity of the second Survivor <\/em>alum making their way to Big Brother <\/em>hasn’t been revealed yet, we can look out for the big reveal as the season premieres on Thursday, July 9.<\/p>\n This isn’t the first time there’s been a BB and Survivor <\/em>crossover. According to EW<\/em>, Big Brother 12<\/em> winner Hayden Moss made it to sixth place on Survivor: Blood vs. Water<\/em> in 2013, while Caleb Reynolds from BB16 eventually competed in two (!!!) Survivor <\/em>seasons, Kaoh Rong<\/em> and Game Changers.<\/em><\/p>\n The casting update comes after The Sun<\/em><\/a> previously reported that CBS execs are “actively planning to bring back a mix of veteran players alongside brand-new contestants for the first time in over six years” for BB28.<\/p>\n “They want people who already know how to play hard, make big moves, stir drama, and create moments fans actually remember,” The Sun<\/em>‘s source said. “They don’t necessarily want an easy, universally loved cast. They want personalities that get people talking online too.”<\/p>\n Iiiinteresting, considering Rick is considered one of the most polarizing and debated contestants in Survivor <\/em>history since he first appeared on the show in 2019.<\/p>\n Anyway, EW <\/em>adds that it’s unlikely Rick and the mystery alum will bring any “physical chaos inside the Big Brother<\/em> house.” But true Survivor <\/em>fans know that his gameplay will probably stir the pot this season!<\/p>\n Oh, and in other news: Men’s Journal<\/em><\/a> also confirmed the rumor that Angela Murray<\/a> will be joining the house alongside the two Survivor<\/em> players.
