Marcellus Wiley<\/strong> has broken his silence after wife Annemarie Wiley<\/strong> filed for divorce following his recent arrest.<\/p>\n \u201cI love my children with everything I am. My highest priority has always been protecting them and preserving the relationship they have with both of their parents,\u201d the former football player, 51, wrote in a lengthy statement shared via X<\/a> on Tuesday, July 7. \u201cBecause of the public allegations made against me by Annemarie, I have been forced to respond with evidence rather than emotion. More importantly, I owe it to my children to truthfully document what they and I have endured.\u201d<\/p>\n Marcellus, who shares three children \u2014 son Marcellus Jr., 10, and daughters Ariya, 7, and Alivia, 6 \u2014 with Annemarie, denied the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em> alum\u2019s claims he was mentally, physically, verbally, emotionally and sexually abusive.<\/p>\n \u201cTo do that, I must address the lies Annemarie has told about me by telling the truth about her and our marriage,\u201d he continued. \u201cOver the years, I have compiled videos, photographs, text messages, emails, and other evidence that directly contradicts those baseless claims and provides a factual record of our family and the events leading to this unfortunate divorce.\u201d<\/p>\n Marcellus accused Annemarie, 42, of \u201crepeated infidelity\u201d and cursing a \u201cvoodoo spell\u201d over his family. (In addition to his three kids with Annemarie, Marcellus is father to daughter Morocca, whom he welcomed during a previous relationship.)<\/p>\n \u201cI never wanted my family\u2019s issues and struggles to become public for any reason, including divorce leverage. But I unfortunately knew this day was inevitable,\u201d he penned. \u201cI was willing to endure anything \u2014 even hell itself \u2014 if it meant being with my children every single day. I am their hero, and now I am fighting to make sure the positive and real image they know of me is the one that endures.\u201d<\/p>\n Marcellus continued, \u201cI am prepared to address these allegations and related matters through the legal process and with evidence. My focus remains on my children, my integrity, and the truth.
