Over 6 years separate Brandy<\/strong><\/a> fans (affectionately called #STARZ) from the R&B diva\u2019s last studio album, 2020\u2019s chart-topping \u2018B7<\/strong>,\u2019 but \u2013 if commentary from a recent interview is any indication \u2013 the wait for the LP\u2019s follow-up may soon be coming to a close.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Just two days after wowing New Orleans with a stunning live performance of some of her biggest hits as headliner of the 2026 Essence Festival<\/a>, B-Rocka rocked a state over to visit her hometown of McComb, MS on Monday (July 6<\/strong>) to be the center of a celebration<\/a> honoring her contributions to the community and the culture.<\/p>\n There, she was also bestowed a key to the Camellia City.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery summer [McComb] opened me with open arms,\u201d<\/em> she said to an adoring audience who gathered downtown to witness the ceremony. \u201cMy grandparents, my Auntie Bag that\u2019s here today, I love you. Family that loved me so completely that I never questioned if I belonged. Love is simply the language that we spoke.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Behind the scenes, she caught up with local EMMY-nominated morning news anchor Kayla Thompson<\/strong> to not only discuss the city\u2019s impact on her life and career but also see what\u2019s up next.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYou know what?
