Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/strong> came to the defense of Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> following President Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s recent attacks in the wake of her star-studded wedding to Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, congratulations to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. I thought it was fantastic,\u201d the former congresswoman said of the couple\u2019s Madison Square Garden nuptials while appearing on the Tuesday, July 7, episode of The View<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI think it\u2019s absolutely absurd for the 80-year-old president of the United States to attack one of the most popular musicians and talented women who\u2019s so generous to her staff and takes care of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cohost Joy Behar<\/strong> interjected that Trump, 80, \u201cthinks he\u2019s more popular than her,\u201d which led Green \u2014 now a reformed Trump supporter who had denounced his administration \u2014 to share some insight on why the president enjoys singling out Swift, 36.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that\u2019s why he\u2019s always picking on her because he would like to be,\u201d Green responded. \u201cHer concerts turn out massive amounts of people, more so than, tragically, [Trump\u2019s Great American State Fair]\u201d in Washington, D.C.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe White House has the internet talking after using one of Taylor Swift\u2019s hit singles on TikTok despite President Donald Trump\u2019s online feud with the pop star. On Monday, November 3, the official White House TikTok account posted a video of President Trump, 79, and his administration largely based on Swift\u2019s No. 1 hit \u201cThe [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Green and Behar were referring to Trump\u2019s remarks about Swift earlier this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was announced about two days ago. The new numbers just came out. You know who the No. 1 person in TikTok is by far? Trump, me. I\u2019m No. 1,\u201d Trump claimed to reporters during a press conference on Monday, July 6 per the Economic Times<\/em>. \u201cLike, Taylor Swift was number 11. I\u2019m No. 1 in TikTok by far.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked by reporters if TikTok was negatively influencing users<\/a>, Trump responded that his messages the platform have the opposite affect<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m saying all things like, \u2018I love our country, we have to stop Communism,\u2019\u201d he alleged. \u201cI was number one by a lot. So I guess, I don\u2019t know, maybe they are bad, maybe they are not.\u201d<\/p>\n

The TikTok jab was not the only remark Trump made about Swift this month. When she and Kelce, 36, tied the knot on Friday, July 3, Trump seemingly had something to say about it. The official White House\u2019s X account posted a parody of Swift and Kelce\u2019s marriage announcement that was posted outside their venue, Madison Square Garden, in New York City.<\/p>\n

After exchanging vows, digital billboards outside the arena read, \u201cJusT&T Married.\u201d Trump\u2019s fake photo read \u201cTrump is your president.\u201d<\/p>\n

The White House\u2019s X account shared a photo on Thursday, July 2, inspired by Swift\u2019s Eras Tour poster, which included a black and white photo [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Trump has been vocal about his disdain for Swift over the years. Most famously, the president declared that he \u201chated\u201d the pop star after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris<\/strong> for president back in 2024. (Trump ultimately beat Harris, who became the Democratic nominee after then-President Joe Biden<\/strong> withdrew from the race, in the election.)<\/p>\n
