Kristin Cavallari<\/strong><\/a> opened up about the division of monetary assets in her divorce from Jay Cutler<\/strong><\/a>, saying he walked away with \u201chalf the value\u201d of her company Uncommon James.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will tell you that what ultimately gave me the confidence to leave my marriage was the success of Uncommon James,\u201d Cavallari, 39, shared on the Tuesday, July 7, episode of the \u201cAspire\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cavallari recalled finding \u201cconfidence\u201d<\/a> from having her own business, adding, \u201cWhich is interesting because if I didn\u2019t have Uncommon James, I could have taken half of his money, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

Uncommon James was ultimately \u201ca really large asset\u201d on their balance sheet.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler haven\u2019t been shy when it comes to sharing details about their split. The former couple announced their breakup in April 2020, after 10 years together. \u201cWe have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t get anything, which I\u2019m so happy about now. But I don\u2019t get any money from my ex-husband,\u201d she continued. \u201cI had to give him half the value of Uncommon James in cash and properties and everything else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cavallari admitted she was \u201creally pissed\u201d<\/a> at the time, but her feelings have since changed.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, I\u2019m so thankful, because I think \u2014 for me \u2014 I\u2019ve needed these things in my life to keep going,\u201d she explained. \u201cI have found that that is an instance where I was like, \u2018I\u2019m going to fight harder.\u2019 Those little moments push me, and I actually come out the other side stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cavallari and Cutler, 43, began dating in 2010 and got married three years later. They expanded their family with sons Camden, 13, and Jaxon, 12, and daughter Saylor, 10, before announcing their divorce in 2020 after seven years of marriage.<\/p>\n

Cavallari has since shut down the assumption that Cutler funded her jewelry brand Uncommon James \u2014 and insisted she got nothing after they separated.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would say that\u2019s one of the bigger misconceptions I see about me,\u201d Cavallari exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in June 2025, referring to claims that Cutler helped her finance her brand. \u201cI\u2019m proud of what I\u2019ve accomplished on my own.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cutler, however, has disagreed with Cavallari\u2019s version of events<\/a> when it comes to their finances.<\/p>\n

Married for, I don\u2019t know, seven years or so, three kids,\u201d Cutler said during an August 2025 episode of his \u201cTake It Outside\u201d podcast. \u201cYou can go and see how much I made in the NFL. It\u2019s online. You can see the contract from year to year and the total amount at the end of 12 years. So, you go to divorce and each side gets a lawyer and then you go to court and there\u2019s a judge.\u201d<\/p>\n
