Kirk Fox, a comedian and actor on \u201cParks and Recreation<\/a>,\u201d \u201cJury Duty\u201d and \u201cReservation Dogs<\/a>,\u201d as well as a novelist with \u201cPalmdale,\u201d released in June, credits his Hollywood success to an unlikely source.<\/p>\n

\u201cTennis was the agent for my first 10 movies,\u201d Fox proudly told the California Post in an interview for the \u201cCalifornia Roots\u201d series. <\/p>\n

When pried for his best Hollywood tennis story, he replied: \u201cI was teaching tennis to Lawrence Kasdan. And when he was doing \u2018Wyatt Earp,\u2019 he asked me if I could ride a horse, and I told him, \u2018Like the wind.\u2019 And on that first day, he realized immediately that I couldn\u2019t ride a horse, so he put me on a very small horse so that his tennis pro<\/a> wouldn\u2019t get hurt.\u201d<\/p>\n
