Following a completed $400 million investment into downtown Reno<\/a>, Jacobs Entertainment says they want to build on the momentum they’ve seen in Reno’s Neon Line District.<\/p>\n

Jacobs recently filed pre-planning applications, which are optional but strongly encouraged reviews to get feedback from reno staff before submitting formal plans.<\/p>\n

First, they want to expand from the existing J Resort site through a pair of pedestrian walkways<\/a>. One planned over Ralston Street would connect to a new parking garage, while another above West Fourth Street would stretch to a northern plot, in which renderings show there would be an outdoor pool.<\/p>\n

Head a few minutes west, and Jacobs has their next project in the works. They’re aiming to build a 60-foot Neon Line District sign<\/a> just off Stoker Avenue,<\/p>\n

Since this project exceeds the 45-foot threshold for the area, it requires a minor site plan review. These checks are conducted by city staff and do not require a public hearing.<\/p>\n

Reno officials say written feedback is considered in their decision and will be accepted through July 24th through the city’s development services comment and review form.<\/a><\/p>\n

In a statement Wednesday regarding the plans, Jacobs Entertainment CEO Jeff Jacobs said, “We envision the new pedestrian walkways and proposed signage creating a western front door to Reno; a memorable gateway for visitors coming off I-80, building on the iconic Reno Arch that has long welcomed visitors to the core of downtown.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
