Ronnie Wood<\/a> has provided a fresh update on the long-anticipated new music from The Faces.<\/p>\n

The band, which also features Rod Stewart and Kenney Jones, have spokenly open about their work on a new album during the last five years when Wood first announced they were busy behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

However, their respective schedules has meant that no new music is yet to surface, but now Wood has given fans fresh hope that it will eventually arrive. <\/p>\n

Speaking to USA Today<\/a><\/em> in a new interview, the guitarist confirmed, \u201cWe\u2019re working slowly on more Faces tracks. I have\u00a0some solo stuff and, and my painting takes up a lot of in between time between tours.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, Jones confirmed<\/a> to The Telegraph<\/em> that they have recorded \u201cabout 11 tracks\u201d at RAK Studios in London, including one with Jools Holland. <\/p>\n

The drummer stated: \u201cNot all of them are going to be right [for the album]. But most of them are good.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked for a timeline on a potential release, Jones added: \u201cI can\u2019t see it coming out this year. But I can see it coming out next year. Everyone\u2019s doing different things. We do little snippets [of recording] here and there. Then all of a sudden, The Stones are out [on tour] again, Rod\u2019s out again\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

More than a year later, and it seems that The Faces are still in the same position with no imminent release date on the horizon.<\/p>\n

In 2023, Stewart admitted the band had been struggling to record material, telling Vulture<\/em>: \u201cWe\u2019re still struggling to make this album. We\u2019ll see. Some of them might see the light of day.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, in November 2024, while on the\u00a0Soccer A-Z<\/em>\u00a0podcast, Stewart was more optimistic about the future of the Faces and revealed he was due to meet with\u00a0Jones and Wood<\/a>\u00a0the following day because they were \u201cworking on a documentary\u201d to celebrate a landmark anniversary. He also confirmed, \u201cWe\u2019re trying to put out an album.\u201d<\/p>\n

For now, Stewart is busy on the road with his solo career, which he recently revealed would be extended into the UK for one last arena tour in 2027<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Wood is keeping himself busy with a solo tour this summer, and the small matter of a new album by The Rolling Stones, titled Foreign Tongues<\/a><\/em>, which arrives on July 10th. <\/p>\n

Notably, Wood did join forces with Stewart at Glastonbury in 2025 for a mini-Faces reunion<\/a>, which saw them perform \u2018Stay With Me\u2019.<\/p>\n
