The Vaccines<\/a> showcased new song \u2018Ten Years Too Far\u2019 at this year\u2019s Mad Cool Festival<\/a> festival last night (July 8) \u2013 you can view footage below.<\/p>\n The 2026 edition of the festival, which will run next month until July 11, kicked off at the Iberdrola Music Villaverde site in Madrid, with sets from Foo Fighters<\/a>, Wolf Alice<\/a>,\u00a0The Last Dinner Party<\/a>\u00a0and more.<\/p>\n It will see further performances from Pulp<\/a>,\u00a0Florence & The Machine<\/a>, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds<\/a> during the bash\u2019s 10th anniversary.<\/p>\n The new anthemic track The Vaccines performed had the same frenetic energy as their 2011 debut \u2018What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?\u2019 as frontman Justin Young sang: \u201c\u2018Yes, will I ever feel better?\u2019 \/ It\u2019s too far, too far, too far \/ I used to want to be a fast car \/ And now I wanna be where you are<\/em>\u201c.<\/p>\n They also played a number of tracks from their debut, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, including \u2018Wreckin\u2019 Bar (Ra Ra Ra)\u2019 and \u2018Post Break-Up Sex\u2019 along with further bangers from their back catalogue.<\/p>\n During the set, Young thanked their fans for \u201cmaking our dreams come true\u201d while reflecting on their debut and hoping their music had helped soundtrack some of the crowd\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n Elsewhere, Hotwax<\/a>, Moby<\/a>\u00a0and Villanelle<\/a> also performed on the opening night<\/a>.<\/p>\n Foo Fighers topped the bill and rang out the hits as they smashed through the \u201cband\u2019s bulging back catalogue\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n NME<\/em> hailed their performance adding: \u201cIt\u2019s a timely reminder of Foo Fighters\u2019 place on the Mount Rushmore of rock\u2019n\u2019roll greats. \u2018Thank you very much for the last 31 years,\u2019 Dave Grohl<\/a> pants at the end of this epic set. \u2018You\u2019ve made our lives very beautiful.’\u201d<\/p>\n You can check out what to look out for during the biggest sets with NME\u2019s<\/em> Mad Cool headliner bingo here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Last year\u2019s festival saw performances from\u00a0Olivia Rodrigo<\/a>,\u00a0Noah Kahan<\/a>,\u00a0Nine Inch Nails<\/a>,\u00a0Iggy Pop,\u00a0<\/a>Alanis Morrisette<\/a>,\u00a0Weezer<\/a>,\u00a0Thirty Second to Mars<\/a>,\u00a0Gracie Abrams<\/a>,\u00a0St. Vincent<\/a>,\u00a0Justice<\/a>,\u00a0Bloc Party<\/a>,\u00a0Kaiser Chiefs<\/a>,\u00a0The Wombats<\/a>,\u00a0Jet<\/a>,\u00a0Glass Animals<\/a>\u00a0and many more.<\/p>\n You can revisit all of\u00a0NME\u2019<\/em>s coverage from the 2025 festival with our round-ups of the best moments from\u00a0day one<\/a>,\u00a0day two\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0day three<\/a>.
