Mason Thames, Dave Franco, O\u2019Shea Jackson Jr., Kiernan Shipka and Peter Dinklage star in a new comedy, Idiots<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The movie follows Franco and Jackson as two men tasked with transporting a teenager to rehab<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Idiots<\/em> is in theaters Aug. 28<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Mason Thames<\/a>, Dave Franco<\/a> and O\u2019Shea Jackson Jr.<\/a> are going on one hell of a ride in their new movie.<\/p>\n On Thursday, July 9, IFC Films released the trailer for the trio\u2019s new slapstick comedy Idiots<\/em>, in which Franco, 41, and Jackson Jr., 35, portray two men who get in over their heads when they are tasked with transporting a \u201cmaniac\u201d teenager (Thames, 18) to a rehab facility. Despite receiving warnings about the teen\u2019s behavior, Thames\u2019 character quickly gets the two men into a world of trouble, including a meeting with criminals portrayed by Peter Dinklage<\/a> and Nicholas Braun<\/a> and an appearance from Kiernan Shipka<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cTwo unqualified bozos are hired to transfer a rich teen to rehab when their straightforward gig quickly spirals into dangerous mayhem,\u201d reads an official synopsis for the movie.<\/p>\n Idiots<\/em> is produced, written and directed by Macon Blair, known for his work with Dinklage in movies like Brothers<\/em> and The Toxic Avenger<\/em>. Franco said during a Q&A at the event that he and Jackson bonded when they worked together in the past. \u201cWe feel safe with each other. I just love you, man. And I feel that because of that we\u2019re able to take these huge swings and do weird shit,\u201d he said at the time, per Sundance\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cDave told me he needed me for a project and he felt like I could kill it,\u201d Jackson said of their rendezvous for the new comedy. \u201cWhen you hear one of your friends say that, it gets personal \u2014 and you feel like you can\u2019t let them down.\u201d<\/p>\n
