The Last Dinner Party<\/a> have shared a new single, \u2018Knocking At The Sky\u2019 \u2013 you can listen to it below.<\/p>\n The song appears on the deluxe edition of the London band\u2019s second and latest album, 2025\u2019s \u2018From The Pyre\u2019<\/a>, which was released today (Thursday July 9).<\/p>\n Abigail Morris and co. debuted the track at London\u2019s O2 Academy Brixton last December, and have since made it a regular fixture of their setlist. They most recently performed it at Mad Cool in Madrid<\/a> last night (Wednesday July 8).<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Knocking At The Sky\u2019 is the final tale from The Pyre. After creating an album about storytelling and worldbuilding, we thought it apt to end this act with a story set in the sinister mythworld itself: Los Angeles,\u201d explained The Last Dinner Party.<\/p>\n \u201cHollywood is the ultimate fairytale; the stakes are at surreal heights, the landscape is unruly and plastic and its populated with a cast of Grimm characters all striving and struggling at the centre of their own hero\u2019s journey.\u201d<\/p>\n The single was the last song The Last Dinner Party recorded with Animesh Raval at Crouch End\u2019s Church Studios. It is accompanied by a music video shot with director Sinclair Bryant in the band\u2019s ersatz LA, as an homage to classic cinema.<\/p>\n \u201cThe visuals pay tribute to the sirens of Hollywood noir, the scream queens of slashers and skin flicks, and the underground world of John Waters,\u201d a description adds.<\/p>\n \u2018From The Pyre (Deluxe Edition)\u2019 also features the 2026 single \u2018Big Dog\u2019<\/a> and its accompanying spoken word piece, \u2018Come All You Beasts\u2019. Listen in full here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Last weekend saw The Last Dinner Party open for Wolf Alice at their huge Finsbury Park show in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n They\u2019ll appear at Latitude<\/a> and Wilderness<\/a> this summer as part of their current UK and European festival run, before supporting both Sombr<\/a> and Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> in the US later this year and into 2027.<\/p>\n
