In an interview, Bacon<\/a> called Tyler “one of the great voices of rock.” She was memorably featured on the soundtrack of “Footloose<\/a>,” with her song, “Holding Out For A Hero,” playing in one of the film’s most famous scenes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI could not imagine chicken racing a tractor to any other song. RIP,” said Bacon, referencing the scene in question.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Footloose” came out in 1984 and was directed by Herbert Ross. The film was a drama with a musical twist, featuring many dance scenes and emblematic musical moments. She died two months after being placed in a medically induced coma after undergoing intestinal surgery. Tyler awoke shortly after the surgery, but was placed under a coma and intensive care to treat the symptoms better.\u00a0<\/p>\n
