Kristin Cavallari says her kids fly coach while she flies first class to teach them financial responsibility<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
Her sons started small businesses last summer to learn entrepreneurship and earn money for things they wanted, The Hills <\/em>alum said<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Cavallari previously told PEOPLE that her kids are uninterested in her reality TV past and focus on their own interests as they grow up<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Kristin Cavallari<\/a> is teaching her three children financial responsibility.<\/p>\n The Hills <\/em>alum, 39, shared on Tuesday\u2019s July 7 episode of Aspire with Emma Grede<\/em><\/a>that she typically has her kids fly coach while she\u2019s in first class on family trips.<\/p>\n \u201cSomething as small as they fly coach, I\u2019m flying first class,\u201d Cavallari said of her efforts to teach her kids about money. \u201cThat was important to me when they became old enough that they could. It\u2019s not [difficult to do] when they\u2019re older. I\u2019m like, \u2018Bye guys, have fun back there.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n The TV personality shares sons Camden Jack, 13, Jaxon Wyatt, 12, and daughter Saylor James, 10, with ex-husband Jay Cutler<\/a>.<\/p>\n She added that \u201cIt\u2019s good for them\u201d and thinks that \u201cthe little things like that, as a parent, make, ultimately, I think, a big difference in the long run.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star turned businesswoman went on to explain how she demonstrates the importance of financial responsibility to her three kids.<\/p>\n \u201cMy kids don\u2019t just get whatever they want,\u201d Cavallari said. \u201cAnd if they want something, they have to work for it.\u201d<\/p>\n She explained that last summer, her sons \u201ccreated their own little businesses\u201d and learned about entrepreneurship through the experience.<\/p>\n Kristin Cavallari and her 3 childrenCredit: courtesy kristin Cavallari<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n \u201cSo one of my boys was washing people\u2019s windows,\u201d Cavallari told Grede on the podcast. \u201cAnd the other one was washing people\u2019s garbage cans. Because if they want something, they got to go work for it. And they got to make it happen.\u201d<\/p>\n After starring in both Laguna Beach<\/em> and The Hills<\/em> in the early aughts, Cavallari shifted focus to creating her lifestyle brand, Uncommon James, and relocating to Nashville.
