The Jane the Virgin<\/em> stars commented on Justin’s emotional Instagram video, in which he reflected on healing with his wife, Emily<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Both Rodriguez and Dier have previously spoken out in support of their former costar during his legal battle<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Justin Baldoni<\/a> is receiving support from two of his former Jane the Virgin<\/em><\/a> costars following his first public remarks after reaching a settlement in his legal dispute with Blake Lively<\/a>.<\/p>\n After Justin shared an emotional Instagram video<\/a> with his wife, Emily Baldoni<\/a>, on Wednesday, July 8, reflecting on the toll the past two years have taken on their family, former costars Gina Rodriguez<\/a> and Brett Dier<\/a> were among those offering words of encouragement in the comments.<\/p>\n “\u2665\ufe0f love you friends. Por vida,” Rodriguez wrote.<\/p>\n “I love you guys \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f,” Dier added.<\/p>\n The supportive comments came after Justin and his wife broke their silence in a video posted on Instagram, sharing that they had intentionally remained quiet throughout the legal proceedings.<\/p>\n “We have not spoken publicly for the better part of the last two years, and it’s not because we haven’t had anything to say,” Justin said in the video<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Because lord knows we have, but it just felt like every time we went to make a video like this, we wanted to speak, something was telling us not to,” he continued. “It just didn’t feel like the right time, and we were talking about it and feeling into it and praying about it.”<\/p>\n “This feels like the moment,” Emily added. “There’s so much to say.”<\/p>\n While the couple did not address every aspect of the legal proceedings, and did not mention Lively by name, they spoke about the emotional toll the experience had taken on their family.<\/p>\n Emily said they had experienced “a lot of trauma,” while Justin explained that they intentionally chose not to respond publicly because they wanted “the justice system run its course” instead of contributing to “the noise.”<\/p>\n “We are healing,” Justin said. “If you’ve ever been through something traumatic, you know that healing isn’t linear. It looks different every day. We have had to rethink for ourselves what is real, and what matters. It’s this. It’s our family, it’s our friends, it’s our community, who have been there for us, it’s our faith.”<\/p>\n He added that he and Emily have grown “closer, more devoted, and steadfast in our faith than we’ve ever been.”<\/p>\n
