The Lindas Lindas<\/a> have spoken to NME<\/em> about their third album \u2018Gotta Get Out\u2019 and shared new emo Hayley Williams<\/a> collaboration \u2018Closer\u2019 \u2013 check out the track below, alongside the full interview with the band.<\/p>\n Williams has been a longtime supporter of the LA punk outfit, and has praised them in several interviews. The band also covered \u2018The News\u2019 for Paramore<\/a>\u2019s \u2018This Is Why\u2019<\/a> remix album.<\/p>\n Last summer, she joined The Linda Lindas onstage at London\u2019s O2 Academy Islington to perform their breakout 2022 hit \u2018Racist, Sexist Boy\u2019 and last month, guitarist Eloise Wong teamed up with Williams at the LA date of her \u2018Ego Death At A Bachelorette\u2019<\/a> tour.<\/p>\n However, \u2018Closer\u2019 marks the first time they\u2019ve joined forces in the studio. \u201cThe collaboration has been a long time coming,\u201d said Lucia de la Garza, whose dad Carlos produced Paramore\u2019s \u2018This Is Why\u2019. \u201cShe\u2019s seen us grow up.\u201d<\/p>\n The band floated the idea of a collaboration to Williams a while ago, and she happened to be in town when they were recording their new album \u2018Gotta Get Out\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was super exciting writing in the studio with her, and seeing the gears turning in her head,\u201d Wong told NME<\/em>. \u201cWhen she started singing, we all looked at each other because she sounded so amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n
