The release would come in a Basic standard Blu-ray Disc release, a Special Edition release in a SteelBook case with unique artwork, and a Digital Download release with a downloadable version of the <cite class=\"e lexicon\">pilot episode<\/cite>. The campaign noted that the pilot version would be used specifically to attempt to greenlight a new <cite><cite class=\"e anime\">Tenchi Muyo!<\/cite><\/cite> series &#8220;in some form.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The stretch goals include a Japanese language audio track at US$450,000, a 4K version of the <cite class=\"e lexicon\">pilot episode<\/cite> at US$475,000, and a making-of documentary at US$500,000. The campaign also features numerous add-ons for backers including posters, an art book, a vinyl and digital soundtrack, and a VHS tape release of the <cite class=\"e lexicon\">pilot episode<\/cite>.<\/p>\n<p>Director <cite class=\"e person\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=68\">Hiroshi Negishi<\/a><\/cite> \u2014 who directed the original <cite><cite class=\"e anime\">Tenchi Universe<\/cite><\/cite>, <cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=230\">Tenchi the Movie &#8211; Tenchi Muyo in Love<\/a><\/cite><\/cite>, <cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=663\">Tenchi Forever!: The Movie<\/a><\/cite><\/cite>, and <cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=16109\">Ai: Tenchi Muyo!<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> \u2014 would return to direct the <cite class=\"e lexicon\">pilot episode<\/cite>. <cite class=\"e company\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/company.php?id=27\">AIC<\/a><\/cite> president <cite class=\"e person\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=1220\">T\u014dru Miura<\/a><\/cite> would be the executive producer. The campaign noted that <cite><cite class=\"e anime\">Tenchi Muyo!<\/cite><\/cite> creator <cite class=\"e person\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=514\">Masaki Kajishima<\/a><\/cite> has &#8220;personally blessed&#8221; the project. <cite class=\"e person\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=66823\">Ikuko Kogiso<\/a><\/cite> (Creative Minds LLC) is credited as co-producer. Phil Dragash would be the character designer, and <cite class=\"e person\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=3802\">Stephen Davis<\/a><\/cite> would be the composer.<\/p>\n<p>The English cast would include:<\/p>\n<p>Armiger Entertainment previously successfully <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2025-05-08\/tenchi-muyo-american-comics-omnibus-edition-kickstarter-surpasses-goal\/.223993\">crowdfunded<\/a> &#8220;<cite data-pasted=\"true\"><cite class=\"e anime\">Tenchi Muyo!<\/cite><\/cite> American Omnibus Edition,&#8221; a re-release of all six issues of JD Calderon and Matt Lunsford&#8217;s 1997 <cite data-pasted=\"true\"><cite class=\"e anime\">Tenchi Muyo!<\/cite><\/cite> comic book series in an omnibus volume, last year.<\/p>\n<p>Armiger Entertainment is a new company, with Wesley Vaughn as founder and president. Vaughn is a contributor to the &#8220;Tenchicast!&#8221; podcast and is the co-author of an upcoming book on the history of the <cite data-pasted=\"true\"><cite class=\"e anime\">Tenchi Muyo!<\/cite><\/cite> <cite class=\"e lexicon\">franchise<\/cite>. ANN has confirmed that the company has the license to the comics.<\/p>\n<p data-pasted=\"true\"><cite><cite class=\"e anime\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=919\">Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> is the original 1992 original video anime (<cite class=\"e lexicon\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/lexicon.php?id=35\">OVA<\/a><\/cite>) series that started a long-running cross-media <cite class=\"e lexicon\">franchise<\/cite>, with numerous sequels and spinoffs. The original <cite class=\"e lexicon\">OVA<\/cite> project received the <cite><cite class=\"e anime\">Tenchi Muyo!
