Larry Birkhead<\/a> recently spoke out against the upcoming Anna Nicole Smith<\/a> biopic, Trust Me, I\u2019m a Doctor<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n During an interview\u00a0with Entertainment Tonight<\/a><\/em> published on July 9, the father of Smith\u2019s daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead<\/a>, 19, made it clear that they are not involved in the production in any way.<\/p>\n \u201cWe absolutely object to, you know, any of Anna Nicole\u2019s, my life, my daughter\u2019s life being used in a movie,\u201d he told ET<\/em>. \u201cAnd being made characters out of by someone that was a doctor that supposedly that people were supposed to trust.<\/p>\n In 2007, Smith died at 39, following an accidental overdose. The film, starring Abbie Cornish<\/a>, follows Dr. Sandeep Kapoor\u2019s (Kal Penn<\/a>) 2017 book, which details the physician\u2019s implication in Smith\u2019s death after her body was found in a hotel room in Hollywood, Florida. Kapoor had prescribed methadone to the Playboy<\/em> model under a false name.<\/p>\n Birkhead, 53, also told ET, \u201cI recently saw the actress that is portraying Anna. You know, I\u2019m sure she\u2019s probably a nice girl and a great actress. But I don\u2019t think she quite embodied Anna Nicole. And that\u2019s not really an attack on her.\u201d<\/p>\n Additionally, Birkhead pointed out that Smith\u2019s story has been played out on screens \u201cseveral times\u201d already, including in a Lifetime movie<\/a> and a Law & Order<\/em><\/a> episode.<\/p>\n \n\t\tRelated\n\t\t<\/p>\n He added, \u201cI have yet to see someone who actually embodied the spirit and the looks and the persona of Anna Nicole.\u201d<\/p>\n Birkhead also shared that he warned about the \u201charm and the emotional distress\u201d the biopic \u201cputs on not just myself but also, most importantly, Dannielynn, and how this could impact her.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI have filed a complaint with the California Medical Board over Dr. Kapoor\u2019s participation in this movie,\u201d he revealed. \u201cI\u2019m just going to let the process, you know, play itself out, and see what they have to say about that.\u201d<\/p>\nAbbie Cornish Is Anna Nicole Smith in ‘Trust Me, I’m a Doctor’ First Look<\/a><\/h3>\n
