Oscar<\/a> and Emmy<\/a> winner Anthony Hopkins<\/a> is coming for the G in EGOT!<\/p>\n At 88 years old, the acting legend has signed a record deal and released the first single off of his upcoming album.<\/p>\n On Aug. 21 Decca Classics will drop Life is a Dream<\/em>, featuring 12 tracks written by Hopkins over the last six days. Bracken Road\u201d is described as a \u201cnostalgic\u201d musical portrait of the streets, meadows, farmland and mountains that surrounded his family home in the 1940s.\u201d The track was originally conceived as a song when he was a young actor in the early 1960s.<\/p>\n \u201cSir Anthony Hopkins is one of those rare artists whose creative voice transcends any single medium,\u201d said Dudamel, the music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. \u201cThe same depth of imagination, humanity, and emotional truth that has defined his extraordinary work on stage and screen is present in his music.
