The East Coast thrash metal greats have just begun streaming that song below, complete with a haunting <strong>Jeff Harlow<\/strong>-directed music video, which seems to sport quite the twist. \u201c<strong>Cursum Perficio<\/strong>\u201d is the band\u2019s first new album since 2016\u2019s \u201c<strong>For All Kings<\/strong>\u201c, and is on track for a September 18th release date. This song is the second single to be streamed from it ahead of time.<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist\/vocalist <strong>Scott Ian<\/strong> ranked this track among the band\u2019s finest work, offering:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the apex predator of <strong>Anthrax<\/strong> songs. I think it\u2019s the best song we\u2019ve ever written and the best thing I\u2019ve ever been a part of creatively. What\u2019s the most powerful emotion that moves me more than anything? Of course, it\u2019s love. Nothing moves me like the deep feeling that I get from my wife and son. I\u2019m living on that edge for the rest of my life. This is mine, but there are a lot of ways to ruin it. I\u2019ve ruined it in past iterations of my life, but it got me to where I am. Love is perfection, and I like being on the edge of it. I don\u2019t want everything to be about all of the same shit.
