Robert<\/strong>Pattinson<\/strong> isn\u2019t afraid to be the bad guy\u2026In fact, he likes it.\u00a0<\/p>\n The actor spoke to People<\/a> about his upcoming villainous roles in The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three.\u00a0<\/p>\n When asked if he enjoys being an antagonist, he said, \u201cI do. I like lowering people\u2019s expectations; that\u2019s always my favorite, that\u2019s always my place to be. Undersell and overdeliver, that\u2019s my motto.\u201d<\/p>\n In The Odyssey, Pattinson plays Antinous, who goes after Odysseus\u2019 (Matt<\/strong>Damon<\/strong>) wife Penelope\u2019s (Anne<\/strong>Hathaway<\/strong>) hand in marriage after he goes missing following the Trojan War. Antinous aims to marry Penelope and steal Odysseus’ throne as king of Ithaca. He also plans to eliminate the couple\u2019s son, Telemachus (Tom<\/strong>Holland<\/strong>).\u00a0<\/p>\n While that might sound like the plot of a villain<\/a>, the 40-year-old doesn\u2019t see it that way.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think he\u2019s really the bad guy,\u201d he said about his character. \u201cI think he\u2019s just like. . . It\u2019s a love story, it\u2019s a love story. Penelope is just waiting for Antinous to get older.\u201d<\/p>\n Pattinson might defend his character, but he is still an actor. While speaking to People, he gave a hint into how he gets into character.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s always one little thing that you kind of do every movie, I always find some kind of little quirk. I\u2019m trying to remember what it was on this,\u201d he explained. I remember doing something which a lot of people thought I was very strange doing, but I can\u2019t remember [what].\u201d<\/p>\n Tricks like these must be important for the Twilight actor. He has many projects coming out this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n Pattinson’s first film of the year was The Drama in April.
