Storage Wars <\/i>alum Darrell Sheets<\/b>\u2019 final text messages are providing new details into the days and week leading up to his death by suicide.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile reviewing Darrell\u2019s cell phone, it was clear that he was struggling with numerous things,\u201d a police report obtained by Us Weekly<\/i><\/span><\/a> <\/i>reads. \u201cThis case will be closed out as it was ruled a suicide by the medical examiner, and there is no evidence or information to suggest the death was due to anything other than what was listed in the medical examiner report. Nothing further.\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke in April that Sheets died at the age of 67<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Emergency dispatch audio obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, July 9, offers key details on the initial investigation into Sheets\u2019 April death. Police were first alerted to distress [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While further details about Sheets\u2019 death were not immediately revealed, the police report claimed that his girlfriend at the time said the TV star hadn\u2019t been \u201cable to sleep,\u201d was stressed out and allegedly received text messages that made him \u201csad and upset.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheets\u2019 girlfriend further told the outlet that his son, Brandon<\/b>, visited days earlier.<\/p>\n

\u201cDarrell has been \u2018devastated\u2019 since his son left and [was] \u2018sad as hell,\u2019\u201d the police report claims. \u201cDarrell went \u2018down a rabbit hole.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

In reviewing Sheets\u2019 texts, police found messages in which he discussed his alleged sleep issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cBro, I need sleep so bad,\u201d he allegedly texted in March, alongside images of ZZZquil sleep medication.<\/p>\n

Days later, he apparently sent another message, claiming that he went \u201ccold turkey\u201d on a redacted type of medication.<\/p>\n
