Princess Alexandra has become a great grandmother for the first

Her granddaughter, Flora Vesterberg, welcomed her first child
\njust days ago, She and her husband. Timothy Vesterberg, revealed
\nthe arrival of their daughter on Instagram.<\/p>\n
The baby girl, who is 62nd in line to the throne, was born on
\nJuly 8th 2026 with her parents sharing their happy news on July
\n11th after mum and daughter had had a few days to recover.<\/p>\n
Proud parents Flora and Timothy also shared a photo of their
\nlittle girl who was dressed in bright white with blue trim \u2013 blue
\nwas the tradition colour for girls for centuries.<\/p>\n
Flora is the daughter of James Ogilvy, the only son of Princess
\nAlexandra and her late husband, Sir Angus Ogilvy.<\/p>\n
Flora, 31, announced her pregnancy earlier this year and was
\nlast seen at the wedding celebrations of her cousin, Lady Marina
\nWindsor, at Hovingham Hall just weeks before the birth of the new
\nbaby.<\/p>\n
The littlest member of the extended Royal Family has been named
\nIsabel Marina, with her parents explaining their choices as they
\nshared their happy news.<\/p>\n
Flora said that her daughter\u2019s name means \u201dof the sea\u2019 where she
\nadded \u201dwe always feel most at peace\u201d.<\/p>\n
And she acknowledged the royal link in the choice. Marina was
\nthe name of Flora\u2019s great grandmother who she never met.<\/p>\n
Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark married George, Duke of
\nKent in 1934 and they had three children together: Edward, the
\ncurrent Duke of Kent, born in 1935 and Prince Michael of Kent, born
\nin 1942, as well as their only daughter, Princess Alexandra, who
\nwas bornin 1936 on Christmas Day, and a fortnight after the
\nAbdication of King Edward VIII.<\/p>\n
Princess Marina was one of the most popular members of the Royal
\nFamily until her death in 1968.<\/p>\n
Isabel, which means \u2018God is my oath\u2019, is becoming a popular name
\nin the Royal Family. Lord Frederick Windsor and his wife, Sophie,
\ncalled their second daughter, Isabella. The name and its variants
\nwas rarely used for centuries but in the Middle Ages, Isabel was
\none of the most poplar royal names with several Queens of England
\nusing a form of it.<\/p>\n
Queen Isabella was the wife of King John while Edward II also
\nmarried a French princess with the name. His wife, Queen Isabella,
\nbecame known to history as the \u2018She Wolf of France\u2019 after she
\nmasterminded a plot to depose her hugely unpopular husband. Perhaps
\nthe most unfortunate was Isabelle of Valois who was married to King
\nRichard II at the age of just six and who was kept closely guarded
\nafter he was deposed in 1399. She later returned to France but died
\nyoung. Her sister, Katherine of Valois, married Henry V and, after
\nhis death, she wed Owen Tudor. Their grandson became King Henry VII
\nand Charles III, as well as Flora Vesterberg, is directly descended
\nfrom them.<\/p>\n
Flora and Timothy Vesterberg are now at home with their new
\ndaughter.<\/p>\n
