South African soccer star Jayden Adams<\/b>\u2019 longtime partner, Aqueelah Adendorf<\/b>, is grateful for the support that she is receiving following his sudden death at 25.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you all so much for your kind condolences and messages of support,\u201d Adendorf wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 11. \u201cThey truly mean a lot to me and [our daughter] Alla\u00efa during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI appreciate every message, even if I haven\u2019t responded yet. I will get back to everyone as soon as I can. Thank you for your understanding and kindness.\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke earlier on Saturday that Adams died<\/span><\/a> just weeks after appearing in the 2026 World Cup.<\/p>\n

[\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cDeath has cruelly stolen one of our own. It has robbed our nation of a remarkable footballer, but it will never take away the legacy Jayden Adams leaves behind,\u201d the South African Football Players Union wrote in a statement. \u201cWe will forever remember his humility, his extraordinary talent and the pride with which he represented South Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n

A cause of death has not been publicly shared. Adams is survived by Adendorf and their 5-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n

Months earlier, Adendorf publicly honored Adams<\/span><\/a> for making South Africa\u2019s World Cup team.<\/p>\n
