The Prince of Wales has meet Britain\u2019s newest sports hero as he
\nvisited Wimbledon 2026 for the first time.<\/p>\n
Prince William chatted with Arthur Fery, the British wild card
\nwhose sparkling run all the way to the semi finals became the
\ntalking point of this year\u2019s men\u2019s singles tournament.<\/p>\n
The heir to the throne and the new king of Wimbledon shared some
\njokes as they spoke ahead of the Men\u2019s Singles Final where Fery\u2019s
\nconqueror, Alexander Zverev was facing the defending champion,
\nJannik Sinner.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales, patron of the All England Club, led the
\nWales family as they arrived at the most famous tennis tournament
\nin the world for the final day of competition thi.s year.<\/p>\n
William and Kate were joined by Prince George, 12, and Princess
\nCharlotte, 11, for the afternoon at Wimbledon where Centre Court
\nwas once more baking in hot summer temperatures.<\/p>\n
The Princess of Wales kept her cool in a striking olive green
\ndress with a one shouldered cape effect which added a hint of early
\nevening cocktail to the final which started just after 4pm.<\/p>\n
Princess Charlotte was in bright blue while George and William
\nwere both in suit and tie for the showpiece event.<\/p>\n
George, who turns 13 in a few days\u2019 time, hinted that he might
\nwell have stayed up late to watch the football as he appeared to
\nstifle one or two yawns at points. His dad was certainly up, taking
\nto social media to congratulate England after they beat Norway 2-1
\nto reach the semi finals of the World Cup.<\/p>\n

William, a self confessed football fan, said that the result was
\n\u201dnever in doubt\u201d although those still debating whether Norway\u2019s
\nsecond goal shouldn\u2019t have been disallowd might disagree.<\/p>\n
The Princess of Wales also chatted to Arthur Fery who she had
\ncheered on in one of his earliest matches at Wimbledon 2026. She
\nwas watching as he fought his way through the earlier rounds on the
\noutside courts.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the Men\u2019s final, Kate also spoke to some of the
\nballboys and ballgirls who have been keeping this year\u2019s tournament
\ngoing. George and Charlotte joined their parents to chat to some of
\nthose who have been supporting Wimbledon which this year has
\nwelcomed hundreds of thousands of tennis fans.<\/p>\n
They later took their seats in the Royal Box where they were
\njoined by other members of the House of Windsor.<\/p>\n
Prince Michael of Kent made a rare outing, enjoying an afternoon
\nwith his children. Lady Gabriella Kingston, 45, sat next to her
\nfather while her brother, Lord Frederick Windsor, 47, remained at
\nher side with his wife, Sophie Winkleman.<\/p>\n
As is now traditional, the Princess of Wales presents the
\ntrophies at the end of the Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s Singles finals.<\/p>\n
