A re-run of Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House featuring Ann Widdecombe<\/a> offered viewers an in-depth look inside the Devon bungalow where she resided just days prior to her death.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Quest show returned to television on 2 July, with schedules indicating it was aired five days before authorities confirmed Ms Widdecombe died at the Haytor residence on 7 July.<\/p>\n

There is no indication that the programme, or any of the footage captured from the residence, was linked to Ms Widdecombe’s death.<\/p>\n

The second season instalment, originally broadcast in 2022, documented presenter Angus Ashworth’s visit to the \u00a3600,000 bungalow as he evaluated belongings Ms Widdecombe wished to auction.<\/p>\n

Audiences were shown various sections of the property, including the entrance, garden, conservatory, gym, library, kitchen, and dining area, according to the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The show described the residence as being situated on the “idyllic Devonshire coast”.<\/p>\n

Ms. Widdecombe was presented on the programme as a “retired politician” as she attempted to secure a particular asking price for personal possessions, including her parents’ Japanese Satsuma dish, a scarf, a bag, and a teddy bear.<\/p>\n

The episode featured Ms. Widdecombe explaining her decision to live in the property, as cameras documented various rooms of the bungalow.<\/p>\n

She said: “I came down here quite deliberately to be as remote as I could, as was sensible.<\/p>\n

“I’ve got what I want, which is peace, quiet, solitude. Of course, I’m friendly with some of the neighbours. I’m not a recluse. Part of the retirement plan was to have a clear-out of old things.”<\/p>\n

Upon arriving at the bungalow, Mr Ashworth, 41, remarked: “Lovely little house, isn’t it?”<\/p>\n

Ms Widdecombe earned \u00a31,445 following the sale of her possessions featured on the programme, with a Japanese plate fetching the top price of \u00a3660.<\/p>\n

The repeat aired in Quest’s 6pm slot on July 2, according to television listings.<\/p>\n

Ms Widdecombe, 78, was subsequently discovered deceased at the Haytor property. Police confirmed she died after sustaining blunt force trauma to the head.<\/p>\n

Quest TV, owned by Warner Bros Discovery, has been contacted for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
