Harrison Ford<\/a><\/strong> turns 84 today, and the actor who played two of the most iconic heroes in movie history is working harder than stars half his age.<\/p>\n

Ford\u2019s career stretches back nearly 50 years, from Han Solo in Star Wars<\/a><\/em> and the title role in the Indiana Jones<\/em> films to Blade Runner<\/em>, The Fugitive<\/em> and Air Force One<\/em>. Yet some of his busiest years have come recently. In 2025 he made his Marvel debut as President Thaddeus Ross in Captain America: Brave New World<\/em>, and he stars as ranch patriarch Jacob Dutton in the Yellowstone<\/a><\/em> prequel 1923<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The biggest surprise came on television. Ford earned his first-ever Emmy nomination<\/a> in 2025 for Shrinking<\/em>, the Apple TV+ comedy in which he plays a therapist living with Parkinson\u2019s disease. It was a striking milestone for an actor whose only Oscar nomination came four decades ago, for the 1985 thriller Witness<\/em>. He did not win<\/a>, but critics have praised his Season 3 work and he is back in the awards conversation.<\/p>\n

Not Quite Ready to Say Goodbye<\/h2>\n

For all the momentum, Ford has hinted he may finally slow down, telling reporters<\/a> he would be content to retire when Shrinking<\/em> ends. He has also said, more than once, that he simply loves the work.<\/p>\n

Off screen, Ford has been married to actress Calista Flockhart<\/a><\/strong> since 2010, and the two made a rare red carpet appearance<\/a> together at the Emmys.<\/p>\n

At 84, he is still Han Solo, still Indiana Jones, and still one of the busiest men in Hollywood.<\/p>\n
