Josh Grisetti, a Broadway star with appearances in series like \u201cThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,\u201d has died at age 44.<\/p>\n
Grisetti died by suicide, confirmed by his friend and \u201cSomething Rotten!\u201d co-star Rob McClure.<\/p>\n
McCLure shared the news on Instagram Sunday, writing, \u201cIt is with a shattered heart that I share that the brilliant Josh Grisetti took his own life on Friday. I\u2019m not ready to even attempt to understand. My heart is with his wife and family as they try to deal with the reality of this.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued, \u201cSome of my all-time favorite memories were by this man\u2019s side, playing his brother onstage for years, watching him inspire students while transforming the Musical Theatre program at Cal State Fullerton… and having the honor of being the Best Man at his wedding,\u201d<\/p>\n
Grisetti\u2019s agent, Rick Ferrari, told Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, \u201cI\u2019m absolutely devastated. That\u2019s all I can say. \u201c<\/p>\n The multi-talented star was born in Washington, D.C. and studied drama at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and musical theatre at the Boston Conservatory.<\/p>\n In 2015, he landed a role in the Broadway hit \u201cIt Shoulda Been You,\u201d alongside Sierra Boggess, Tyne Daly, David Burtka, and Lisa Howard.
