The actor underwent treatment and later assured fans that he was &#8220;on the mend.&#8221; However, Arnaz stated that the cancer returned in her post.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><em>Entertainment Weekly<\/em> has reached out to representatives of Bryce for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Born Jan. 6, 1958 in New York City, Bryce followed in the footsteps of his father, Ed Bryce, a soap star himself who appeared on such shows as <em>Another World<\/em>, <em>Somerset<\/em>, and <em>Loving<\/em> in addition to his longtime gig as <em>Guiding Light<\/em>&#8216;s Bill Bauer, from 1959 to 1983.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bryce debuted on <em>As the World Turns<\/em> in 1982 as the charming but oft self-destructive Craig Montgomery, known for his manipulative schemes and unlucky romances. He was at one point paired with Meg Ryan&#8217;s Betsy, despite her love for Frank Runyeon&#8217;s Steve Andropoulos. The plot line marked one of the show&#8217;s most infamous love triangles. Craig and Betsy eventually going their separate ways, paving the way for her to reignite her romance with Steve.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bryce would remain with the show until 1991, but returned from 1993 to 1994 and again from 2007 to 2008.
