Millie Bobby Brown<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about how she overcame an anxiety attack that lasted for three months.<\/p>\n

The Stranger Things<\/em><\/a> actress revealed on the Monday, July 13, episode of the \u201cOn Purpose With Jay Shetty\u201d<\/a> podcast how she was left feeling traumatized after being \u201cchased by these people\u201d for 20 minutes while out in public.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a really traumatizing 20 minutes. It was very intense, very scary. I feel like I shut down, and I shut down for three months. In that moment, something switched in my mind,\u201d Brown, 22, explained.<\/p>\n

Amid her heightened state of anxiety, Brown said she and husband Jake Bongiovi<\/strong><\/a> took a planned trip to Japan around his birthday, which ended up being essential to her healing process.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went to Japan, not thinking it would be some spiritual journey,\u201d she said. \u201cWhen I got there, I still really felt anxious. Sometimes we\u2019d go to a restaurant and I\u2019d say to my husband, \u2018I can\u2019t go in. We need to go back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI never had to explain myself to him \u2014 he knew, he got it,\u201d she added of Bongiovi, 24.<\/p>\n

During a visit to a retreat inhabited by monks in Kyoto, Brown said, \u201cI met this one amazing Japanese gentleman, who was just so calm and almost felt like he saw me. I was in the height of my anxiety at this point. He knew that I was kind of broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was like, \u2018We need to meditate,\u2019 and I was like, \u2018OK,\u2019\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
