Now, she\u2019s announced a UK tour which is set to kick off later this year, which will showcase songs from the new album as well as her previous solo work.<\/p>\n<p>The tour kicks off in Oxford on November 11, and will see her perform in Sheffield, Leeds, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester and London, before wrapping up in Bristol on November 20.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets go on sale on Friday (July 17) at 10am, and will be available <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ticketmaster-uk.tm7559.net\/c\/2862475\/431519\/7559?sharedid=NME&amp;u=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. A call informed her that her sister was in intensive care and Lawrence and her brother should fly out immediately. Jessie later died, aged 35.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat followed was the most profoundly altering period of my life,\u201d Lawrence explained in a press release. \u201cI learned about the beauty of the dying, the resilience of the living and the infinite fountain of love that sustains us.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Liz Lawrence - Mt. Nephin (Official Visualiser)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YDDltINuRtQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Speaking about the record, Lawrence says: \u201cIt is dedicated to my beautiful sister Jessie and her too-short life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Vespers\u2019 was written over a period of three weeks, just six months after Jessie died. \u201cIf you want to understand the change in me, from the person who made \u2018Peanuts\u2019 to the person who wrote \u2018Vespers\u2019, then this is it. Grief changes you. I don\u2019t recognise the person I was before,\u201d Lawrence added.<\/p>\n<p>In \u2018Vespers\u2019, Lawrence says there is a strong desire to commune. \u201cTo sing is to be closer to Jessie,\u201d Lawrence shared, adding that she could not listen to music for months after Jessie died.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember talking to my friend, who had recently lost his dad, and he was saying that he was using music to help him to cry\u2026I was going through what billions of people have been through already, and somehow felt like there was nowhere for me to be. And so I went on Reddit and looked up the best grief records of all time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After discovering few written by women, Lawrence added: \u201cI wanted someone to be able to say to a friend who is grieving that they should listen to \u2018Vespers\u2019. I want people to come to this record. I want people to use this record.
