Hilary Busis\u2019s new piece in Vanity Fair, \u201cYou\u2019re Not a Therapist, Stop Talking Like One\u201d, is a very enjoyable read, though I suspect it will make some people mad. A lot of the language can be traced to TikTok armchair diagnosing, but therapy speak is also really prominent on reality TV and in podcasts. Especially wellness podcasts.<\/p>\n

Ottessa Moshfegh, who wrote My Year of Rest and Relaxation<\/em> (which eerily predicted COVID isolation<\/a>), wrote Cara Delevingne’s new Playboy profile. \u201cI read Playboy for the articles\u201d really does apply here but she ate with the cover photo as well.<\/p>\n

The TNT wedding has a long gossip tail (it hard-launched a divorce!) and while the Taylor\/Blake Lively issue is up in the air (was she left off the invite list, did she decline to attend?), if we zoom out on the details, Hugh Jackman and Shawn Levy were also not there (as far as we\u2019ve seen). That group was very tight in the summer of 2023. That\u2019s pretty telling.<\/p>\n

Creative designer musical chairs continue. Olivier Rousteing left Balmain in late 2025 after a very successful 14-year run. He designed Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s 2026 Met Gala look and has just been named the creative director of Rabanne. Very interested to see what he does with the archives.<\/p>\n
