There is a new royal baby in the House of Windsor<\/a>, with the granddaughter of the late Queen\u2019s first cousin announcing her birth this week.<\/p>\n Flora Vesterberg<\/a>, whose grandmother is Princess Alexandra of Kent<\/a>, a first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>, announced the arrival of her first child with husband Tim Vesterberg on Instagram this week.<\/p>\n Royal family member Flora Vesterberg has welcomed her first child, Isabel, with husband Timothy.\u00a0Instagram\/@floravesterberg<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n \u201cOur daughter Isabel Marina Vesterberg arrived safely on the morning of July 8,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n \u201cTimothy and I are overjoyed and full of love for her. <\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s named for the blessing that she is as well as my paternal great-grandmother. Her name also means \u2018of the sea\u2019 where we always feel most at peace in Scotland and Sweden. <\/p>\n \u201cThank you for your thoughtful messages.\u201d<\/p>\n Flora, who lists her occupations as art historian, philanthropist and board member, is also a contributor\u00a0for Vogue <\/em>magazine and is completing her Phd.<\/p>\n The couple announced their engagement in November 2019 and said they planned to marry the following year, but the plans were toned down due to the COVID pandemic.<\/p>\n She married Timothy<\/a>, a private equity investor, in September 2020, during a small private ceremony inside the Chapel Royal at St James\u2019s Palace in London. <\/p>\n A year later, they held a second ceremony, or blessing, at St James\u2019s Church\u00a0in London.<\/p>\n The couple announced they were expecting in January.\u00a0Instagram<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n For that ceremony, she looked every bit the royal bride in a regal custom gown by Phillipa Lepley, which she paired with the sparkling diamond Oglivy tiara<\/a> that was loaned to her by her grandmother. <\/p>\n They announced in January they were expecting their first child in a post on Instagram.<\/p>\n \u201cDelighted to share that Timothy and I are expecting our first child. We\u2019re truly over the moon,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n Flora, whose maiden name is Oglivy, is the daughter of Princess Alexandra\u2019s eldest son, James Oglivy, whom she shared with her late husband Angus Ogilvy.
