Speaking about the new track, the band share: “‘You are Silence’ was written during Japan\u2019s midsummer season of Obon, when it is believed that the spirits of our ancestors return to visit us for a few precious days each year. While writing this song, I imagined what it would feel like to watch over someone I love if I were one of those spirits. It\u2019s a love song, told from the perspective of the dead.”<\/p>\n
Following the album’s release, maya ongaku will be heading to the United Kingdom to kick off their tour, beginning on 9 September in Todmorden.
