Seven has reportedly poached a popular reality-based show from a rival network. The show, which was rested by Ten, will now enter Seven\u2019s entertainment catalogue in 2027.<\/p>\n
Due to the shift, the show may anticipate changes in its hosts, Julia Morris and Robert Irwin.<\/p>\n
The show\u2019s new address was announced at the back of Ten\u2019s statement to rest the \u201cI\u2019m A Celebrity \u2026 Get Me Out Of Here!\u201d<\/strong> show by Ten. A Ten spokesperson said, \u201cWe have made the decision to rest I\u2019m A Celebrity \u2026 Get Me Out Of Here! in 2027 as we focus on offering our audience a range of content on all platforms.\u201d The statement also indicates that the show is \u201crested,\u201d not axed, after running for 12 seasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n Just two months into the rest period, Seven took the opportunity to claim the show for themselves. According to news.com.au<\/a>, Southern Cross Media Group\u2019s Managing Director, Television and Streaming, Angus Ross, said, \u201cI\u2019m A Celebrity\u2026 Get Me Out Of Here! is one of the world\u2019s most recognisable entertainment formats and we\u2019re incredibly excited to welcome it to Seven in 2027,\u201d adding, \u201cThis is a proven franchise with a passionate fan base and we look forward to bringing our own fresh energy and ambition to its next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n According to if.com.au<\/a>, the move also reunites the franchise with ITV Studios Australia, which continues to produce the series despite its switch from Network 10 to Seven. The show is expected to premiere on both Seven and 7plus in 2027.<\/p>\n It is unclear if the show\u2019s hosts will be changed. Robert Irwin and Julia Morris have been hosting the show for Ten. The buck may now pass to creative talent within Seven. A possible replacement would be Dr. Chris Brown, who co-hosted the show with Morris until 2023, before he joined Seven for newer opportunities.<\/p>\n Morris and Irwin are contenders for the Gold Logie.
