But while her Nicholas Oakwell Couture gilded gown certainly evoked the power of the film\u2019s character, Nyong\u2019o\u2019s clutch also paid homage to the Christopher Nolan adaptation.<\/p>\n

\n\tNyong\u2019o carried the \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d purse by Paris-based brand Olympia Le-Tan<\/a>, a piece gilded in gold, light blue and navy tones with white modeled to look like a copy of Homer\u2019s famous Greek mythological story.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe illustration of the Olympia Le-Tan design was created by artist Jenny Zemanek. The design featured hand-embroidered silk thread and felt appliqu\u00e9 with a stainless steal frame. The interior of the clutch was further embellished with blue florals against a white backdrop. <\/p>\n

\n\tCotton, wool, stainless steal and silk thread were used to create the final piece. Without the strap, the clutch retails for $1,402. With the strap the purse is $1,598. The book clutch is a popular design from the French brand and extends far beyond Zemanek\u2019s \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d creation. <\/p>\n

\n\tAlong with a variation on Homer\u2019s epic Greek poem, Olympia Le-Tan features other book clutch designs like Truman Capote\u2019s \u201cBreakfast at Tiffany\u2019s,\u201d Jane Austen\u2019s \u201cMansfield Park\u201d and \u201cLe Petit Prince\u201d by Antoine de Saint-Exup\u00e9ry.<\/p>\n

Along with Nyong\u2019o, celebrities like Meryl Streep, Katy Perry and Millie Bobby Brown have carried the brand\u2019s clutches. <\/p>\n

\n\tAside from the clutch, Nyong\u2019o accessorized her New York City premiere attire with gold metallic heels by Aldo and jewelry pieces courtesy of Sabyasachi, further accentuating the gold color scheme of her attire. The Oscar-winning actress\u2019 look was curated by stylist Micaela Erlanger<\/a>.<\/p>\n
