On July 13, officers for the New York Police Department responded to a call at 9 a.m. in Queens, N.Y., of an \u201cunconscious person,\u201d a police spokesperson told PEOPLE. The spokesperson said a 51-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for New York City\u2019s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed Evans\u2019s death to PEOPLE. Her manner of death was natural; her immediate cause of death was chronic alcohol use, and diabetes mellitus and hypertension were contributing conditions, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
The NYPD spokesperson told PEOPLE the case did not appear to be suspicious and an investigation \u201cremains ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Evans maintained a following of over 8,000 on Twitch<\/a>, where she shared comedy content and a look into her daily life.
