On Friday, July 17, from 5 – 7:30 p.m. the Artists’ Studio in the Foothills (ASiF) invites the public to celebrate the opening reception of their 18th Annual Student & Teacher Show! The exhibit will showcase ASiF teachers and over 50 student artists of all ages in a wide range of media including paintings, drawings, pottery, sculpture, paper-arts, jewelry & metal arts, mixed media & more!<\/p>\n
Come enjoy refreshments and meet the students and teaching artists who’ve made ASiF their creative home. Participating students are invited to dress as their favorite famous artist \u2014 making them eligible to win a $50 gift certificate to use toward an ASiF class of their choice. Guests are invited to cast their votes in three people’s choice award categories: BEST COSTUME, BEST YOUTH ARTWORK & BEST ADULT ARTWORK. Winners of the Best Artwork categories will receive a surprise art-gift from their teachers. Votes may be cast beginning at 5 p.m. and will be counted at 7 p.m. for an awards ceremony.<\/p>\n
The Student & Teacher Show will be on display through Saturday, August 22. ASiF’s gallery is open to the public Thursdays – Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and seven days a week for studio art classes.<\/p>\n
