July 16 (UPI) —<\/span> Celebrity couples walked the red carpet at the 2026 ESPY Awards.<\/p>\n NBA star Jalen Brunson<\/a> and his wife, physical therapist Ali Marks, NFL star Myles Garrett<\/a> and his girlfriend, Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, and MLB star Justin Verlander<\/a> and his wife, model Kate Upton<\/a>, attended the ceremony Wednesday in New York.\n<\/p>\n The ESPYs is an annual awards show recognizing athletes and sports achievements. Comedian Marcello Hern\u00e1ndez hosted this year’s event, where Garrett, a defensive end for the Los Angeles Rams, won Best NFL Player and Best Record-Breaking Performance.<\/p>\n Other couples at the awards show included NBA star Stephen Curry<\/a> and his wife, actress Ayesha Curry, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles<\/a> and her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, and boxer Jake Paul and his fianc\u00e9e, Olympic speed skater Jutta Leerdam.\n<\/p>\n Kim presented Garrett with his award for Best Record-Breaking Performance and gave her beau an on-stage kiss as he accepted the honor.<\/p>\n “Thank you, babe, for keeping a secret like that because you definitely knew,” Garrett said<\/a>. “Most of all this is an honor, and I’ve got a lot of catching up to do with this woman behind me.”<\/p>\n Kim, 26, is a two-time Olympic gold medalist who became the youngest woman to win an Olympic snowboarding gold medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.<\/p>\n Other winners included Brunson, a point guard for the New York Knicks, who took home Best Athlete (Men’s Sports), Best NBA Player and Best Championship Performance. The Knicks won Best Team.\n<\/p>\n
