{"id":2504884,"date":"2026-07-16T17:38:19","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T17:38:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2504884"},"modified":"2026-07-16T17:38:19","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T17:38:19","slug":"garrett-cain-of-next-up-entertainment-producing-documentary-of-2025-morgantown-high-football-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/garrett-cain-of-next-up-entertainment-producing-documentary-of-2025-morgantown-high-football-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Garrett Cain of Next Up Entertainment producing documentary of 2025 Morgantown High football season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MORGANTOWN \u2013 The 2025 Morgantown High School football season was nothing short of historical in many ways.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Culminating in the first state championship in two decades, the Mohigans produced a season that was magical from beginning to end, beginning with a dominant victory over Parkersburg in the opening week of the season and ending with a one-score triumph over perennial power Martinsburg in the Class AAAA state championship.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There for every moment on the field, and some off, was Garrett Cain, who founded Next Up Entertainment, to document the Mohigans\u2019 campaign.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the happenings of 2025, Cain, who is the nephew of MHS Athletic Director John Bowers, decided to showcase the Mohigans\u2019 magical season via a documentary called \u201cJust Us: A Morgantown Football Story\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ve always been involved with Morgantown High football in some fashion,\u201d Cain said. \u201cMy uncle John was the head coach when MHS won its last football title in 2005, and I remember always being at games and being around the players and coaches all the time. My cousin Maddox (Bowers) was the starting quarterback here for a couple of seasons, and I always took videos of him and the team. Even when he left, I still wanted to be around for at least this season, and I\u2019m glad I did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first episode dropped on Wednesday, titled \u201cThe Arrival\u201d. All episodes will be released and can be found on the Next Up Entertainment YouTube channel and other social media platforms. The remaining episodes will be released periodically throughout the summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cain watched every single second of the MHS football season in 2025, either through his camera lens or with his own eyes. He says the moment he realized the team truly had the potential to make a run at the state championship, interestingly, came after a regular-season defeat to Martinsburg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere was a moment after that game in the locker room, and it will be shown in the documentary, where the coaches and players weren\u2019t upset about the result or the way they played the game,\u201d he said. \u201cThe players led the way, and all came together and realized how special a thing they had on the team, and they did what was necessary to right their wrongs and get better. You see a moment like that, and you know there\u2019s something there that most teams don\u2019t have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m just thankful to the coaching staff and players for allowing me to come in and be a small part of it all,\u201d Cain continued. \u201cAt the end of the day, it\u2019s all about helping them get their names out there and showcasing the hard work they put in every day to be a successful program.
