\n\tTinashe<\/a> is back, but she never really left. The singer announced plans for her new album, Popstar<\/em><\/a>, on Thursday (July 16), and it is set to arrive on Sept. 25.<\/p>\n

\n\tA wild clip of Tinashe using a sledgehammer to smash a car window in Los Angeles went viral earlier this week, which now makes sense, with her new single \u201cCrash Out\u201d hitting streaming services on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe woozy track finds Tinashe snapping at her haters. \u201cThis can\u2019t be what this life is like\/ It\u2019s overrated, in a city full of people tryna make it\/ The American dream is outdated\/ Now they sitting on the Internet hating,\u201d she sings.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCrash Out\u201d serves as the second single from the album, following \u201cToo Easy.\u201d Popstar, <\/em>according to Apple Music,<\/a> boasts 16 songs in total.<\/p>\n

\n\tPopstar<\/em> is Nasty Nashe\u2019s first album since 2024\u2019s Quantum Baby<\/em>, which snuck inside the Billboard 200<\/a> with a debut at No. 199. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe 33-year-old has found a hit in each of the last two years, with 2024\u2019s \u201cNasty\u201d reaching No. 61 on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a>. She made dancefloor magic when teaming up with Disco Lines for the \u201cNo Broke Boys\u201d remix in 2025, which spawned a Song of the Summer candidate last year and peaked at No. 39 on the Hot 100 (Tinashe\u2019s second top 40 hit).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Popstar<\/em> cover art features a close-up headshot of Tinashe rocking headphones, glasses and a pink tie-dye T-shirt, while her pupils are ringed with stars.<\/p>\n

\n\tTinashe will perform new songs from Popstar<\/em> the weekend of the album\u2019s release, when she takes the stage at the All Things Go festival in Maryland.<\/p>\n
