Around the time that this summer draws to an end, cult-pop overlord Carly Rae Jepsen will return with Day And Night<\/a><\/em>, a new 24-song double album divided into two distinct and self-explanatory halves. Jepsen has already shared lead single “On Wires<\/a>,” which comes from the daytime half of the record. Now, she’s got another new one, and it’s also from the day disc. She’s really leaning into the sunniness right now.<\/p>\n Jepsen recorded “After All” with her longtime collaborator Kyle Shearer on production, and she co-wrote it with Shearer and Nate Cyphert, another guy who has been in her orbit for years. The track starts out as a smooth ode to domestic bliss. But when the chorus hits, it shoots into a much more disco-house direction, which makes for a nice little fake-out. She’s very, very pregnant in the Aerin Moreno-directed video. She and her husband had their first kid earlier this year, so she must’ve filmed it before that. Check it out below.<\/p>\n
