Brandon Flowers<\/a> has shared another new solo single, \u2018Paradise\u2019 \u2013 you can listen to it below.<\/p>\n

The upbeat song is the second preview of the Killers<\/a> frontman\u2019s third solo album, \u2018Thrasher\u2019<\/a>, which is out on August 21 via Island. He released the first track, \u2018Plans\u2019<\/a>, last month.<\/p>\n

In the first verse of the jaunty, country cut, Flowers sings: \u201cThey cut all the shifts right before the summer\/ Then the bastards forced me on to swing\/ I\u2019m parking some white sedan\/ While the owner tries his hand rolling dice\/ It\u2019s just another day in paradise<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The last line appears to be a nod to Phil Collins<\/a>\u2018 1989 track \u2018Another Day In Paradise\u2019. Collins attempted to address the issue of homelessness on the single, but faced criticism for its depiction of people experiencing homelessness.<\/p>\n

Writing on social media earlier this week, Flowers took an apparent dig at Collins, suggesting that \u2018Paradise\u2019 would set things straight.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack in October \u201889, Phil Collins took \u2018Another Day In Paradise\u2019 from the working man,\u201d he wrote to announce the song. \u201cThis Friday the 17th, I\u2019ll be returning it to its rightful owner.\u201d<\/p>\n
