Firerose credits her “Survivors Sisters” group of Crystal Harris, Courtney Stodden and Aubrey O’Day for helping her through her divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus.\n<\/p>\n
The 37-year-old singer – who accused the Achy Breaky Heart singer of displaying “unpredictable and volatile” behaviour and \u201cextreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse” during their divorce – has praised her friends for their support amid the “traumatic” split and admitted they “bonded over some very difficult things”.\n<\/p>\n
Firerose told the celebrity.land newspaper’s Page Six: \u201cMy beautiful friend Crystal Harris, who\u2019s a New York Times best-selling author, survived many years [of alleged abuse]. She was married to Hugh Hefner, and she\u2019s written her stories so beautifully and eloquently in a way that has helped so many.”\n<\/p>\n
She hailed Courtney – who has branded her ex-husband Doug Hutchinson, who was 51 to her 16 when they married, a “predator” and “paedophile” – as “another amazing angel” and admitted she doesn’t know where she would be “without” Aubrey, who alleged Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs groomed her when he managed her band Danity Kane.\n<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cI\u2019m really grateful for every strong badass survivor who\u2019s gone before me, and I\u2019m so honoured to be able to call them my dear friends.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cOur group chat goes off in the most beautiful way. It\u2019s such a supportive, loving connection that we have, and obviously, the tightness of our friendship is accentuated by the fact that we\u2019ve all survived.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so important to each of us to be that example for ourselves, for each other and for the world at large. \u2026 So many young women go through versions of what we have, and they don\u2019t make it. They don\u2019t survive. They don\u2019t get the blessing and miracle of getting through something that is so extreme and so public and then coming out of it and building a beautiful life.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd each one of my friends is just an amazing example of that, because it\u2019s not easy.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
Billy Ray has denied Firerose’s allegations of narcissistic abuse and she claimed she didn’t initially realise what she was involved in.\n<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cPart of narcissistic abuse is the strategic isolation and the coercive control to separate you from your community and your friends…\n<\/p>\n
\u201cPart of narcissistic abuse is that you are sort of lulled into this false reality.”\n<\/p>\n
The Australian singer claimed Billy Ray, who is 27 years her senior, initially “love-bombed” her before he began “raging” at her, calling her \u201call the most vile names\u201d and imposing \u201cvery strict rules\u201d.”\n<\/p>\n
Billy Ray filed for divorce from Firerose in June 2024 after seven months of marriage, and accused her of inappropriate marital conduct and fraud, later alleging she had spent over $100,000 on his credit card without permission and had only married him for his fame and fortune.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
