Mandy McMillan<\/strong> has always followed her own path, and her new single proves she has no intention of changing course. With \u201cLTMFG<\/a>\u201d<\/strong>\u2014short for \u201cLet the Motherf***er Go<\/strong>\u201d\u2014the Canadian country-pop singer delivers an unapologetic anthem about letting go, reclaiming confidence, and choosing yourself without guilt.<\/p>\n Released across streaming platforms on June 5, the self-written and self-produced track marks another milestone in McMillan\u2019s independent career. Blending country storytelling with rock energy and polished pop production, \u201cLTMFG\u201d reflects the artistic freedom she has embraced since returning to Alberta after spending years in Nashville pursuing her music career.<\/p>\n Born in Edmonton and raised in nearby Stony Plain, McMillan built early momentum by winning a CMT Canada contest before opening for Trisha Yearwood<\/strong> at Big Valley Jamboree in 2008. Her move to Nashville brought additional opportunities, including opening for Blake Shelton<\/strong>, releasing her self-titled EP in 2014, reaching the Top 10 in ole\u2019s \u201cPlay for Publisher,\u201d and even appearing alongside Kelly Clarkson<\/strong> in the music video for \u201cTie It Up<\/a><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n Returning home ultimately became a turning point rather than a setback. Since relocating to Alberta, Mandy has independently released her 2022 album Dream Catcher<\/em><\/strong>, followed by 2025\u2019s \u201cCrazy Crazy<\/strong>,\u201d while continuing to perform at events including Pigeon Lake Music Festival, Play On! Edmonton, and Wild Roses Festival. What began as a humorous post-breakup concept evolved into a broader message about surrender, healing, and self-worth. Mandy describes it as permission to stop holding onto people, expectations, and fears that no longer serve you.<\/p>\n That philosophy extends beyond music.
