Ariana Grande <\/b><\/a>and former dancer Ricky Alvarez<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u2019s recent romantic reunion is \u201cthe real deal,\u201d a source exclusively tells Us Weekly.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cRicky is far from a rebound,\u201d the insider says, noting that Grande, 33, and her last boyfriend, Wicked <\/i>costar Ethan Slater<\/b>, <\/b>broke up \u201clong before the public knew about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us <\/i>previously confirmed in June that Grande and Slater, 34, ended their two-year relationship<\/span><\/a>. Within weeks, rumors surfaced that the pop star rekindled her past romance with Alvarez, 35, after he attended several of her recent concerts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re still newly dating, but because there\u2019s a lot of history there, they were able to fall back into a relationship organically,\u201d the insider adds of Grande and Alvarez. \u201cThey\u2019re the real deal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alvarez, who previously danced backup during Grande\u2019s Honeymoon Tour<\/i> from 2014 to 2015, began dating the Oscar nominee later that year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re happy,\u201d Grande succinctly told Billboard<\/i> in 2016. \u201cI\u2019m a very happy girl. I have a healthy life right now, and I think that\u2019s all anyone cares to know. The end.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grande and Alvarez\u2019s romance, however, ended later that year.<\/p>\n
